YOUR GUIDE
For a long time Elske Koelstra (The Netherlands) has shared her enthusiasm for birds. An avid bird watcher, she learnt a lot through environmental clubs over the years. She knows how to recognize different birds and where to find them. With a touch of humor, she'll tell you many funny stories about nature, the Colorado and about birds in particular. She knows their songs and if needed she can even perfectly imitate them.
practical information
BINOCULARS
I will provide binoculars, but if you have your own, bring them with you. I can check their quality for you if you like.
CLOTHES
Mornings in springtime can be cool, so do bring a sweater for your own comfort.
In June, please bring a hat and water, the Colorado can be very hot.
FOOT WEAR
Even though we'll walk very little, we'll cross a little stream and the Colorado can be slippery at certain points.
Please wear strong shoes or boots in which you feel comfortable.
With a bit of luck we'll hear the nightingale, the golden oriole, some woodpeckers and probably we'll see the golden eagle, the black kite and bee eaters!
WEATHER
IF IT RAINS, the birds do not sing....for that reason the bird walks will be canceled... Make sure you leave your phone number when you book, so that I can keep you informed.

We've seen plenty different bird species, even a lesser spotted woodpecker!!
